“Uprising” is the single by rock band Muse from their 2009 fifth studio album The Resistance. The song is also due to be released as the first single from the album, on 7 September 2009. “Uprising” was first revealed on 3 July 2009, when the album’s track listing was released sporadically on the band’s Twitter page. The song was leaked in its entirety to file sharing websites in the early hours of 3rd August 2009, due to the time difference of the New Zealand release.
